The short answer is by asking questions, by asking ourselves proper questions in proper order.
Thinking is a process of conversation with ourselves. We get different conversations, thoughts, by changing topics, focusing. We come up with ideas by answering to ourselves questions. We support those ideas with references and form beliefs. We prioritize what matters based on perceived importance and create values. Values shape our motivation. Motivations direct our lives.
We can reprioratize our values and change our beliefs by altering our focus, bringing new ideas and making sure that the supportive references are up to date.
Do you have time for yourself or is it always work and others first? Remember the airplane flight? Put oxygen mask on yourself first and then assist others. Can you afford to ignore yourself?
The Slim Mentality components:
- Motivations (decide what you want)
- Beliefs (discover and resove internal conflicts)
- Emotions
- Habits
- Knowledge (diet and exercise)
“Successful people ask better questions, and as a result, they get better answers....What we can or cannot do, what we consider possible or impossible, is rarely a function of our true ability. It is more likely a function of our beliefs about who we are.” Tony Robbins
